N+2A

Also known as:

N+A

N+2A is a measure of how well a heavy naphtha will perform when fed to a reformer, that is how high the octane of the resulting reformate will be.

N+2A is calculated as the volume percent of napthenes in the naphtha plus 2 times the volume of aromatics. A higher N+2A naphtha will yield a higher octane, higher aromatics content reformate when reformed.
