Refinery history

1955 - Refinery commissioned by Toa Oil with 6 kbpd capacity

1969 - Capacity reaches 100 kbpd

1977 - Flexicoker commissioned

1979 - Showa Sekiyu acquires partial interest in Toa Oil

1987 - FCC commissioned

2000 - Refinery integrated with Show Shell Kawasaki refinery (Ogimachi plant)

2005 - Toa Oil fully acquired by Showa Shell

2011 - Ogimachi plant shut down

2016 - Acquisition of most of Shell's interest in Showa Shell by Idemitsu

2019 - Integration into Idemitsu refinery system
