Jet A-1
Jet A-1 is the standard international grade of commercial aviation turbine fuel (jet fuel).
Jet A-1 has a lower freeze point than Jet A (the grade commonly used in the US), which is better suited to high altitude intercontinental flights, especially over polar regions.
Jet A-1 fuel must meet the following standards:
DEF STAN 91-91
ASTM specification D1655
IATA Guidance Material (Kerosene type), NATO Code F-35
Some physical properties for Jet A-1 within ASTM specification D1655:
Flash point: 38 degrees C
Freezing point: -47 degrees C
Density at 15 degrees C: 0.804 kg/l
