Ichihara refinery

The Ichihara refinery is a  refinery is a medium sized cracking refinery located in Chiba, near Tokyo Japan.

The refinery is owned Eneos (51%) and CNCP (49%) and operated by ENEOS.

Primarily export-oriented.

CNCP (Petrochina) is responsible for crude sourcing.

Refinery history

1968 - Refinery commissioned by Kyokuto Petroleum

1983 - Hydrocracker commissioned

2015 - Kyokuto acquired by Tonen General

2017 - Tonen and KX merged to form JXTG

2020 - CNCP assumed 49% ownership when previous JV refinery with ENEOS was shut down (Osaka).
