Zydeco is a crude pipeline system that moves crude from Southeast Texas to refineries in Louisiana
The pipeline originally ran from Louisiana to Texas but was reversed and expanded in order to move growing unconventional light crude to Louisiana refineries
The pipeline is owned and operated by Shell

The pipeline system has four major segements:
Nederland to Houma: The original segment of the pipeline
Capacity - 375 kbpd
Length - 350 miles
Diameter - 22 inches
Houma to St James: An extension to move crude onward to St James hub and the Convent refinery
Capacity - 270 kbpd
Length - 350 miles
Diameter - 18 inches
Houma to Clovelly: An extension to move crude onward to St James hub and the Convent refinery
Capacity - 400 kbpd
Length - 34 miles
Diameter - 24 inches
Eugene Island to Houma: A feeder line bringing offshore crude into Houma from Eugene Island
Capacity - 125 kbpd
Diameter - 16 inches
