LOOP
Also known as:

Louisiana Offshore Oil Port
LOOP is a crude oil unloading terminal located off of the coast of Louisiana in the Gulf of Mexico.
LOOP has the ability to unload VLCC tankers that are too large to dock at other Gulf Coast ports. It is connected by pipeline to salt caverns onshore that can hold large quantities of crude and is connected to refiners across the Gulf Coast by pipeline and the intra-coastal waterway.
LOOP has been a major port for receiving crude oil imports into the US from around the world.
