The refinery is owned by the Showa Shell (now part of Idemitsu).

1985 - Merger of Showa with Shell Sekiyu

1996 - RFCC commissioned

2016 - Acquisition of most of Shell's interest in Showa Shell by Idemitsu

2019 - Integration into Idemitsu refinery system
