Isla is a large, low complexity refinery on the Island of Curacao off the coast of Venezuela
The refinery is owned by the government through the state company RdK.
Global Oil Terminals has a license to operate the refinery for RdK.

Refinery history
1918 - Refinery commissioned by Shell
1985 - Refinery sold to Curacao government and leased to PDVSA to operate
2019 - PDVSA lease was not renewed and control of refinery reverted to RdK and ceased operations
2024 - RdK agreement with Global Oil to restart the refinery for asphalt production
