In a refinery, the cracked gas plant is the set of units that process refinery gas coming from cracking units.

This is different from the sat gas plant which handles gas from non-cracking units.

Cracked gas is kept separate in order to isolate important components such as butylene and propylene that don't occur in the saturated gas streams.
