Mina Abdulla is a very large, medium complexity refinery located in Kuwait.

The refinery is owned and operated by KPC.

Refinery history

1958 - Refinery commissioned by American Independent Oil Company (AMINOIL) with 30 kbpd

1963 - Expanded to 145 kbpd

1977 - Acquired by Kuwait Government and renamed Kuwait Wafra Oil Company

1978 - Transfered to KNPC

1986 - Major upgrade adding coking, hydrocracking, ARDS, acid gas recovery and other units

1988 - Capacity expanded to 240 kbpd

2009 - Upgraded two ARDS units
