The refinery was owned and operated by ADNOC.

In 2022 the refinery was closed.

Refinery history

1976 - Refinery commissioned with 15 kbpd

1983 - Capacity increased by 60,000 bpd

1993 - Capacity increased by 13,000 bpd, Gasoil desulphurisation Unit added and Reformer converted to CCR

2022 - Refinery closed
