1910 - Cities Service Company formed

1944 - Lake Charles refinery built by Cities Service

1965 - Company renamed Citgo

1982 - Citgo acquired by Occidental

1983 - Citgo acquired by Southland

1986 - 50% share of Citgo acquired by PDVSA

1990  - 100% share of Citgo acquired by PDVSA

1991 - Champlin merged with Citgo, bringing the Corpus Christi refinery

1997 - Lemont refinery acquired by PDVSA (Citgo)

2019 - CITGO was separated from PDVSA and formed its own independent Board of Directors

2024 - A US Federal judge has announced plans to auction Citgo assets as part of settlement with PDVSA creditors
