The refinery is owned and operated by the Unipetrol subsidiary of PKN.

Refinery history

1942 - Plant began gasoline production from lignite

1951 - Processing of crude oil began

1965 - Crude supply from Druzhba pipeline began

1967 - New atmospheric and vacuum distillation started

1972 - Coal processing stopped

1983 - New processing units completed

1989 - Hydrocracker added

1995 - CCR added

1996 - Company incorporated as Česká rafinérská

1999 - Visbreaker and new control room added
