1969 - The Cairo Oil Refining Company opened the Mostorod refinery
1972 - Amerya Petroleum Refining company opened the Alexandria Amerya refinery
1973 - The Cairo Oil Refining Company opened the Tanat refinery in the Delta region
1973 - Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum created
1984 - The Assiut Refining Company opened the Assuit refinery
1994 - The Middle East Oil Refining Company (MIDOR) opened the Alexandria MIDOR refinery
1997 - The Alexandria Minerals Oil Company (AMOC) opened the AMOC lubes plant in Ameriya
1999 - The Alexandria National Refining and Petrochemicals Company (ANRPC) opened the ANRPC aromatics plant in Ameriya
