Tabangao refinery

 Tabangao was a refinery ocated outside of Batangas City in the Philippines.

The refinery was permanently closed, and converted to a product imort terminal in 2020.

At the time of closure, the refinery was 55% owned, and operated by Shell, through Pilipinas Shell.

Refinery history

1962 - Refinery commissioned by Shell Refining Company (Philippines) with 30 kbpd of capacity

1973 - Company renamed Pilipinas Shell

1995 - Major upgrade increased capacity to 110 kbpd

2015 - Upgrade of the refinery completed

2020 - Shell announced that the refinery will be closed and converted to a product import terminal
