1931 - Thermal cracker added

1946 - Malmo refinery acquired

1956 - Gothenberg refinery commissioned

1985 - Antwerp refinery acquired

1986 - PDVSA acquired 50% share of company

1989 - Neste acquired remaining shares

1990 - Lubricants business sold to Statoil

1992 - Acquisition of Briggs Oil results in Dundee and Eastham refineries

1995 - Partnership formed with Isla refinery in Curacao

2003 - Antwerp refinery sold to petroplus

2014 - Acquired Harburg refinery from Shell

2020 - Neste sold shares to Bitumina and Nynässtiftelsen acquired 35%, reducing PDVSA to less than 15% ownership.
