1929 - Company founded and first refinery built in Tenerife

1969 - Opened San Roque refinery

1991 - Acquired Huelva refinery

2011 - Company acquired by International Petroleum Investment Company of Abu Dhabi

2017 - IPIC and Mubadalla merged to form Mubadalla Investment Co

2019 - Carlyle acquired 37% interest from Mubadalla

2022 - Tenerife refinery closed
