E10 is gasoline blended with 10% ethanol by volume to form a finished gasoline that con be used in a conventional vehicle but still use some renewable fuel.

E10 is the most common grade of gasoline in the US and the primary means by which the US refining industry satisfies the renewable blending mandates set by the EPA under the renewable fuels standard. A higher ethanol E15 grade is also sold, but at much lower volumes.

E10 is typically blended at the distribution terminal (rack) just before delivery of fuel to retail stations by truck. E10 is a blend of pure (denatured) ethanol with an unfinished BOB gasoline such as CBOB or RBOB.

The price of E10 is typically slightly lower than for "clear" (no-ethanol) gasoline
