Also known as:

PCK

Schwedt is a large, complex refinery located in Northeastern Germany on the border with Poland.

The refinery owned by PCK, a JV between Shell (37.5%), Rosneft (54.2%) and Eni (8.3%)

In 2022 the German government assumed control of Rosneft interest in its 3 German refineries as part of sanctions on Russia over Ukraine, and has ordered Rosneft to divest by March 2025.  Shell has agreed to sell its interest in the refinery to Prax.

The refinery receives crude from Russia on the Druzhba pipeline.  Plans are undeway to resupply with non-Russian crude through the Port of Gdansk.

Product is largely put into the local market where the refinery provides most of the supply to Berlin.
