El Segundo refinery
El Segundo is a large, high-conversion refinery located near Los Angeles International airport in El Segundo, California in the US.
The refinery is 100% owned and operated by Chevron.
The refinery processes a mix of domestics California heavy crude (SJV) and imported crude from various regions (Latin America, Middle East).
Product are distributed by pipeline through the Southern California market. The refinery supplies about 40% of the areas jet fuel and 20% of its gasoline. Overall product slate is approximately: 45% gasoline, 41% diesel and jet fuel, 10% fuel oil and coke, 4% LPLG.
