Escravos (crude)

Escravos is a medium, sweet crude grade produced in Nigeria

Production comes from the Escaravos Beach oilfield on the coast of Nigeria.  The field is operated by Shell and owned by NNPC, Shell, Total and ENI

Spot prices are reported by both Platts and Argus, for 950,000-1,000,000 bbl cargoes, FOB at the Escravos terminal. There is also an official formula price posted by NNPC

Quality

Escravos is a medium sweet crude oil, suitable for refineries with limited hydrotreating and/or a market for low sulfur fuel oil
