Valero's Corpus Christi complex consists of 2 sites (East Plant and West Plant) locate a mile apart from each other on either side of the ship channel in Corpus Christi, Texas in the US.

The refinery is a large, high conversion plant.

The refinery is 100% owned and operated by Valero.

Refinery history

1962 - East Plant acquired by Coastal from Sinclair

1971 - CCR added to East Plant

1983 - West Plant built by Valero

1995 - Coker added (18 kbpd) in East Plant

2001 - Coastal (including East Plant) acquired by El Paso

2001 - East plant acquired by Valero

2004 - FCC gasoline hydrotreater added

2007 - Hydrogen plant expanded

2016 - New distllation tower added (70 kbpd) to increase processing of Eagleford crude. $350 MM project.
