Cenovus is an integrated oil company in Western Canada with refineries in Canada and the US, both wholly owned and in JVs with other refiners.
In 2021 Cenovus merged with Husky, adding three refineries to its portfolio.

Refining history
2007 - ConocoPhillips and Encana for the WRB JV that includes the Wood River and Borger refineries
2009 - Encana spun off its integrated oil business, including refining, as Cenovus
2012 - ConocoPhillips broke apart businesses and Phillips 66 retained refinery assets including WRB JV with Cenovus
2021 - Husky merges into Cenovus bringing the Lima and Superior refineries, and the Toledo refinery JV with BP
2022 - Cenovus acquired BP's share of the Toledo refinery
