Refining history

1962 - Founded as Korea Oil, the first oil company in Korea

1964 - Ulsan refinery commissioned (35 Kb/d)

1969 - Inchon refinery commissioned

1980 - Sunkyoung Group acquired management rights of Korea Oil as part of privatization

1982 - Korea Oil name changed to Yukong

1996 - Ulsan expanded to 810 Kb/d

1997 - Yukong changed name to SK

2005 - SK acquired Inchon refinery

2011 - SK Energy set up as a subsidiary including Ulsan refinery

2017 - SK Incheon Petrochem set up as subsidiary including Inchon refinery
