Sarnia (Imperial) refinery

The Imperial Sarnia reifnery is a high-conversion refinery located in Sarnia, Ontario in Eastern Canada.

It is 70% owned and operated by ExxonMobil through its Canadian subsidiary Imperial Oil.

1897 - Refinery commissioned by Standard Oil

1898 - Standard Oil acquired a majority interest in Imperial Oil and Imperial took over operations of Standard Oil in Canada, including Sarnia
