1999 - El Dorado refinery acquired by Frontier
2003 - Woods Cross refinery acquired by Holly
2009 - Sinclair Tulsa refinery acquired by Holly
2009 - Sunoco Tulsa refinery acquired by Holly
2011 - Holly merged with Frontier to form HollyFrontier
2020 - Refinery operations stop at Cheyenne and conversion to renewable diesel begins.
2021 - HollyFrontier acquired the Puget Sound refinery from Shell
2021 - HollyFrontier announces plan to acquire refinery business of Sinclair (Wyoming and Casper refineries)
2022 - Sinclair acquired by HollyFrontier and name changed to HF Sinclair
